coordinatOR!

hee ... ok i'll post, i'll post on this thing. it's been forever, but i think i remember how to do it :-P ok, so i'm currently reading a book called Uncle Tungsten, but knowing all of u, I think only 1 or 2 of u would actually be interested in it, if that. so what else do i currently have and havent read yet? i give u these to choose from, as well as some synopses for ones u might now know about ... because where i live, access to foreign books is extremely limited, now if i were in sapporo or tokyo or any other decent city that might be different, but enough of this rambling:

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova ~ Late one night, exploring her father's library, a young woman finds an ancient book and a cache of yellowing letters. The letters are all adressed to "My dear and unfortunate successor," and they plunge her into a worl she never dreamed of - a labrynth where the secrets of her father's past and her mother's mysterious fate connect to an inconceivable evil hidden in the depths of history.

One Hundred Years Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez ~ No synopsis needed as I'm sure we have all heard of it, and I think many of u have already read it.

Geisha by Liza Dalby ~ sorry, no synopsis provided. (This was left by my predecessor)

Gabriel King, The Knot Garden by Barbara Erskine ~ When Anna Prescott, retreating from a doomed love affair and a high-pressure career, discovers the idyllic hamlet of Ashmore it appears to offer the perfect escape. With its pretty cottages, picturesque canal and intriguing inhabitants - Stella Herringe, mysterious lady of the manor, feisty Alice at the Green Man, and handsome enigmatic John Dawe- it seems the ideal place for a new life. But danger lurks beneath Ashmore's apparently tranquil surface, and Anna's arrival sets in motion a heady, nightmarish chain of events. (Also left by my predecessor)

And the last one, another one left by my predecessory, and my number one vote (mind u I'm kidding, but it might actually be really funny to read) is ...

The Rules, Time-tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider ... hahahahahah

Alright, I now leave it up to the rest of u!

yeah my first choice is the historian as well. the cover looks cool and we all know we should judge a book by its cover. but after christmas we'll have a lot to choose from (maybe) because apparantly my parents have fulfilled a lot on my amazon wish list but i dont know what yet, so i cant give u any other choices.
